Baiting Lu comes from Datong, Shanxi, and majored in Polymer Materials and Engineering as an undergraduate student. He carried out undergraduate research training in Prof. Guanglu Wu’s group. On May 20, 2026, he successfully defended his undergraduate thesis. His thesis work focused on the synthesis and host-guest behavior of TIPNO-type water-soluble nitroxide radicals and alkoxyamines. His undergraduate studies developed his strong interest in new polymeric materials and initiator development. After completing his undergraduate studies, Baiting will continue in our group as an incoming 2026 direct PhD student.

His research interests focus on new polymeric materials and initiator development. Outside the lab, Baiting enjoys animation production, games, and reading science fiction and fantasy novels. His motto is: “Realizing that the past cannot be changed, I know that the future can still be pursued.”
