On November 1, 2024, Dr. Mark Lin, Principal Application Scientist for TA Instruments in the Asia-Pacific region, visited to deliver an insightful seminar on isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) to an audience of faculty and students interested in microcalorimetry and molecular interaction analysis.

On August 31, 2024, Wang Ruiqi successfully defended her master’s thesis, becoming the first master’s graduate from Guanglu Lab. For the past three years, she has played a key role in coordinating academic activities and ensuring the smooth running of lab affairs.

From June 15 to 18, 2024, the 34th Annual Meeting of the Chinese Chemical Society was held at the Baiyun International Conference Center in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Professor Wu Guanglu and four students from our Lab — Liu Jia, Qu Haoyuan, Xu Ze, and Li Fei — attended the conference.

On May 22, 2024, Professor Giulio Ragazzon from the Institute of Supramolecular Science and Engineering at the University of Strasbourg in France visited Guanglu Lab. During his visit, he listened to presentations by four doctoral students, shared his expert insights, and offered invaluable suggestions and ideas for their research projects.

The 18th International Conference on Macrocyclic and Supramolecular Chemistry took place in Hangzhou from May 6 to 10, 2024. The event gathered over 600 experts and scholars in the field of supramolecular chemistry from around the globe, including Nobel Laureate J.

With the arrival of the new semester, our research group has welcomed a group of energetic and talented new students: Wang Zhengkang, Huang Kang, and Yang Meng. Their joining injected new motivation and creativity into the research group!

On July 15, 2023, the first Digital Innovation Experiment Design Competition hosted by NEODAWN was held online. Under the guidance of Prof. Wu Guanglu, undergraduate students Sun Yingkai and Liu Sunlin, along with PhD candidate Yang Tianyi, formed the team “Foldable” and participated in the “Flow Chemistry " section of the competition.

It is time for Shen Yuanchen and Xia Wenchao to graduate. On June 25 2023, we farewelled them at the Youth Dining Hall with well-prepared gifts. Since they joined the Guanglu Lab, they have given several wonderful presentations, which have broadened our horizons and stimulated a lot of thoughts and discussions, and Mr.
