Wrapping Up the Semester with Team Bonding
As the semester drew to a close and the Chinese New Year approached, our research group came together for a special team-building event—celebrating our collective achievements and embracing new beginnings.
The day began with a collaborative lab cleanup, where members worked side by side to refresh our research space for the year ahead. We then gathered at a Northeastern-style restaurant for a festive lunch, sharing handwritten greeting cards filled with gratitude, encouragement, and aspirations for academic and personal growth. Lively conversations filled the room, culminating in a unique “3-Minute Science Symposium,” where each member delivered a concise presentation on chemistry pioneers, fundamental principles, or breakthroughs in emerging fields.
Following lunch, we moved to Tang Au-Chin C Building, where the energy and camaraderie continued. We played team-building games like “Pictionary” and “Who is the Undercover,” along with board games such as “UNO” and “Risky Expedition.” Laughter and cheers echoed throughout the room as we enjoyed moments of friendly competition and collaboration. The relaxed, joyful atmosphere provided a welcome break from work, strengthening friendships and team spirit.
This event not only marked the end of a productive semester but also infused us with renewed energy for the year ahead. Reflecting on our journey, we have grown together through teamwork and shared ambition. Looking forward, we remain committed to pushing boundaries, supporting one another, and striving for new heights in our research.
