Since joining the group, Jia has focused on cucurbituril-based noncovalent assembly systems, making steady progress in areas such as chiral folding assemblies and binary assemblies driven by π–π stacking. Her work has yielded a series of important interim results and helped the group accumulate valuable experimental and theoretical experience in this field.

At the preliminary defense held on May 9, 2025, Prof. Lixin Wu, Prof. Ming Wang, Prof. Xiaokong Liu, Prof. Wen Li, and Prof. Youliang Zhu served as reviewers. Jia delivered a comprehensive and well-organized report on her doctoral research and graciously incorporated the reviewers’ suggestions and comments to further refine her dissertation and subsequent work.

For the formal defense, Prof. Hongying Zang, Prof. Kang Cai, Prof. Ming Wang, Prof. Bing Yang, and Prof. Minjie Li served on the examination committee. Jia presented her research ideas, experiments, and innovations with increased poise and confidence. She answered questions fluently and responded to the committee’s inquiries with clear, well-structured arguments, earning unanimous approval from the examiners.
